Had an 2nd interview with the security company on Thursday for the control center job at the upscale shopping/residential mall. Now, I have to wait for a 3rd interview (!) and this is for a part-time gig (until the interview/meeting with background investigator is done, if the interview gets that far); a long ways from my early days in security where if you were breathing you were hired. I'm kind of hoping that I'll hear from another company that deals strictly with a big name corporation with a world-wide presence doing the same thing, but also looks at intel from a paid source to identify threats to the business, i.e., unhappy citizens = revolution, terrorist activity, severe weather. Lots more interesting and pays better (19 bucks an hour). I have my interview with California DMV on Tuesday, and still waiting to hear about the other position I interviewed up in the state capital.
